6 Months!

Layla Grace,
You are 6 months old today!

 We’re having so much fun with you, and love watching your little personality develop. You are such a blessing, and I can’t believe how fast the last 6 months have flown by! It's crazy what one of your big ole smiles does to me! Here are some things I want to remember about you at 6 months…

This face being at the very top of my list!

*We will find out your growth stats on Friday. I’m anxious to see how you’ve grown over the last 2 months!
*You are wearing size 3-6 month clothes, and even have some 9 month stuff that fits. Certainly only because of those thigh rolls though J.
*You are still breastfeeding exclusively. You are NOT a fan of formula, and will only sometimes take it in small amounts.
*You are loving solid foods! Most days you get two meals of cereal/fruit/veggie. You are SO funny while eating. Your mouth couldn’t possibly open any wider waiting for the next bite. You also grunt and make all kinds of cute noises throughout every meal.
*You are sleeping good, but not consistently great like you were. Every time we get back on track you hit a growth spurt, or get a cold, and/or teething. So goes the first few years of life J Thankfully your naps haven’t been affected.
*I wish you would take a paci or suck your thumb…something!
*You are rolling all over the place.
*You are still your brother’s greatest fan! You love every second of attention he pays you.
*You are close to sitting up on your own!
*You love taking a bath in the big tub.
*You have found your voice…and it is loud! You especially love to showcase this in restaurants J.
*You are definitely a momma’s girl right now, but something tells me that won’t last for long. You’ve started to notice when I leave the room, and when it’s somebody else feeding you, etc.
*Your new best friend is Bailey! You could be having a screaming fit, and if we find the dog, you are instantly cured of all your troubles! You just light up when she is near by.
*You are currently on your second cold in your short 6 months. I hate seeing you sick!
*Your absolute favorite activity is to jump in the doorway jumper. You are so proud of yourself when you get to jumpin'! I also think you love it so much because you've always prefered to stand up rather than sit to play. Yes, I'm sure you'll be an early walker like your brother. No break for this momma!
*New milestones...sitting in the big girl highchair, swinging at the park, riding in the shopping cart (sans car seat), sitting up for a few seconds.

The past 6 months have been more wonderful than I ever could've imagined. You add an abundance of sweetness to our family, and we love you to pieces, sweet baby girl!
