Weekend with daddy

It's been a pretty lazy weekend at the Morgan household. But we've totally enjoyed having daddy all to ourselves this weekend :) We've all managed to get some much needed rest. We had a fun family lunch at good old Chick Fil A, and got to see several friends. Eli also had his first trip to Lowe's. You know your a new parent when a trip to Chick Fil A and Lowe's becomes exciting...and also exhausting. I think Eli was just excited to go somewhere other than Target :) It's so much easier to make an 'outing' when you have backup help. Not to mention that its 100 degrees outside, and the simple task of walking from the car to the store involves a ton of sweat. I've never been more excited for Fall to come! I can't wait to get back to family walks in the evening, as it's just entirely too hot for that now.

Have I told you how much Eli loves a bath? It seems to be the cure all for life's troubles...therefore it has become a regular night time event at our house. We have so much fun watching his expressions while in the bathtub, it's total relaxation.

This is one of my favorite after bath pictures, he's such a happy baby. I have a feeling we have a water baby on our hands. I can't wait to take him in his nana & pop pop's pool next summer!

There's one thing for sure, this child is like his daddy in MANY ways. Below is a picture of Eli with his eyes glued to the t.v...he likes watching sports center already. This mommy already doesn't stand a chance.

Now that Eli can hold his head up pretty good, we let him try out his new bumbo seat. I thought he was still a little too small for it, but he was a huge fan! He looks like such a big boy in it. This will definitely come in handy as he continues to get bigger and stronger.

Welcome to our life!

Now that we have a baby, our life has become a little more exciting. With our family being spread from here all the way to Japan, this seemed like a great way to keep everyone updated. After a good friend suggested that we start a blog, I figured why not! Thanks for getting me motivated Erin!

Today Eli is 3 months old, where in the world has the time gone?! I feel like just yesterday we were headed to the hospital to welcome our sweet baby boy. Life certainly never seemed to go by this fast until we had a child. I guess we better hold on tight, because the days will soon turn to years that have passed by so quickly. I've certainly learned to take each day at a time, and to never take this life for granted. We've been blessed beyond belief with a wonderful marriage and now with a sweet sweet little boy.

Eli is changing SO much everyday, and I absolutely love being able to stay home with him to capture every single moment. His smile melts my heart everytime, and I can't wait for the belly laughs to become a regular thing. There's nothing better than the sound of his voice, and he certainly has discovered that he has one recently!

We look forward to sharing our life with you, one milestone at a time.
